Our lives impact our city and our world

We are being transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to His Plan and His purpose. This means that we are to be a blessing to those in the world in which we live. 

Our city

Located in the Hawthorne District, we hope to be a good neighbor to those around us, while engaging them with the truth of the gospel. From hosting the SE Tool Library to volunteering and partnering with nearby Buckman school, we hope to both proclaim and demonstrate the love of Christ to our community.

Our world

For decades, a focus on world evangelization and church planting has been a priority at Hinson Baptist Church. We understand that the glory of God in the gospel is far too grand to be limited merely to Portland. Rather, in supporting and praying and sending, we hope to be a part of the work that God is doing in redemptive history, taking His gospel to every tribe, tongue, and nation. There are various ways to learn more about what the Bible teaches about global missions and how you can get involved.
